On Sept. 2, a delegation led by Executive Director Shigeo Koyasu of RIKEN, Japan, visited Academia Sinica for scientific collaboration. This delegation comprised experts from the Analytics Platform Development Group and Medical Sciences Innovation Hub Program of RIKEN.
During their stay, the delegation first visited Taiwan Biobank, Taiwan Mouse Clinics, and Translational Medicine Core in the National Biotechnology Park. They also participated in the experts meeting. In the afternoon, the delegation met with President Liao. Their discussion was fruitful. The delegation decided to apply their advanced algorithm to Taiwan’s health data, in the hope of having better prediction of Ovarian Cancer. In conclusion, RIKEN experts proposed to hold a joint workshop in Academia Sinica.
