Professor Jean-François Huchet, President of the Institut national des langues et civilisations orientales (INALCO), revisited Academia Sinica on February 3, 2026, and was received by Vice President Shin-Kun Peng. During the meeting, the two institutions discussed academic and research exchange and exchanged views on the possibility of signing a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a more structured framework for cooperation.
They also held a dialogue on Taiwan’s semiconductor industry and related research topics. Building on the institutions’ previous engagement, the visit further broadened opportunities for interdisciplinary exchange spanning the humanities, social sciences, and technology-related issues.
